Wood-based Panel Industry
Modern wood-based panels are essential to everyday life. Whether particleboards, MDF or OSB boards, they can be found in all kinds of applications on the market. For example, as building material for house constructions, as packaging material or as furniture boards and ceiling or floor paneling. While the pressing and gluing processes are important for the quality of the wood-based panels, the quality of the wood chips, wood fibers or strands being used is even more important.
Wood size reduction machines, such as knife ring flakers, refiners or long-log chippers integrated in complete installations deliver constant wood chip and fiber quality at high throughputs. Drum chippers, hammer mills, drum debarkers, rotor debarkers and chipper shred washing installations round off our program. Siempelkamp SRS delivers complete wood yard installations from raw material infeed to transport of the processed wood chips and fibers into silos or bunkers.
Knife Ring Flaker PZKR
The knife ring flaker PZKR is used for dry and wet processing of chippers shred into wood chips with the greatest possible consistency in chip geometry and quality. The resulting wood chips are optimally suited for the production of particleboards.
Refiner PR
The refiner PR is used to turn wood chips into high-quality wood fibers. These fibers are used for the production of MDF/HDF boards and insulation materials. Siempelkamp SRS has been expanding its pressurized refiner system for over 30 years and is continually improving development.
Universal flaker PZU
Siempelkamp SRS offers their long-log flaker PZU for the production of quality chips or strands from logs. The strands are used for the production of OSB boards, particleboards, cement boards and structural timber.
