Knife mills play an important role during the production and processing of plastics of any kind. After size reduction and processing, the production waste can be fed back into production of new goods. This approach saves considerable raw material costs. The preparation of already used plastics such as films, bottles and profiles helps to protect valuable resources.
In order to address various tasks, Siempelkamp SRS delivers a wide variety of proven machine types and sizes. In addition to numerous standardized applications, there are ultra-granulators for the size reduction of temperature-sensitive rubbers and elastomers, high-strength fiber waste or particularly high-wear products.
From injection molding to extrusion: Our machines process profiles, pipes, plates and films with great reliability. Well-known companies in the blow-molding and automotive supplier industries rely on our installations to efficiently return their valuable materials back to the production cycle. All our knife mills are characterized by robust welded structures, electro-dynamically balanced rotors and easy maintenance. Knife mill PS
Siempelkamp SRS delivers PS knife mills with unique guillotine rotors for the size reduction of vulcanized and non-vulcanized natural rubber and synthetic rubber in bale form. They are characterized by high moment of inertia and low-friction size reduction. Depending on the bale size, Siempelkamp SRS offers size reduction installations for single-stage or two-stage size reduction. These installations are available with or without separating agent infeed and can shred all rubber feedstock forms, for example, bales, sheets, strands, chips, etc., into defined granules.
Knife mill PSP
Siempelkamp SRS provides PSP knife mills for the size reduction of production and packaging waste resulting from window profiles, shutter profiles and cladding profiles. The horizontally supplied profiles are automatically pulled in and shredded by the specially designed rotor. Short waste can be fed in via an additional infeed shaft. These knife mills produce optimal granule quality at high throughputs. The generated plastic granules can be directly reused for the production of new goods.
