Siempelkamp SRS has long been a specialist in the field of process engineering for the mechanical processing of materials and bulk goods into powders and granules. We develop, build and sell machines and complete installations. Our extensive machine selection ranges from the production of coarse and fine powders to the shredding and cutting of base materials and granules.

Depending on the task in question, we can deliver machines and installations that are ATEX conform, inerted, explosion-protected, gas-tight, designed in stainless steel or for cryogenic grinding. Other important decision criteria include high throughput and economic operation, coupled with high system availability. Food, luxury items and animal feed
Great care must be taken during the processing of foods (e.g., spices and herbs), luxury items and animal feed. The requirements of the end customer and the consumer, together with applicable hygiene regulations, must be taken into consideration and complied with. Siempelkamp SRS offers knife mills, fine grinding installations, ultra-fine mills, the Contra-Selector mill and complete installations that meet the requirements. Maintaining the natural properties and aromas is paramount as is high throughput and the ability to quickly and thoroughly clean the equipment at shift end or product change.
Fiber and cellulose processing
Ground or processed fibers such as cellulose are included as additives in many products in order to influence their properties, depending on the application case. Siempelkamp SRS offers proven and reliable size reduction and defibrating machines for the processing of these fibers. Precision knife mills produce fine powders with high surface areas. Knife mills and double stream mills grind and homogenize the product. Ultra-fine powder can be produced with the aid of our PLM turbofiners and Contra-Selector mills. The product can also be dried at the same time by adding hot air. Cold grinding installations with reverse-working pin mills are used for the finest of powders.
Chemical industry
Size reduction tasks in the sector of the chemical industry are manifold. Target process-related parameters must be met, existing material properties must be taken into consideration when selecting mechanical size reduction machines and specified requirements must be met for machines and installations.
